Electric Guitar Lessons:
Electric Guitar LessonsLessons are centred around students who have become proficient on acoustic guitar and wish to learn rhythm and lead guitar techniques, learning how to take solo’s and how to improvise over a melody.
Classical Guitar Lessons:
Following the R.I.A.M syllabus students learn scales, sight reading, theory and aural training as well as contrasting exam pieces
Electric Bass Guitar Lessons:
Techniques from fingerstyle to slap bass. Scales, Sight Reading and Performance centred guitar lessons encompassing styles from Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz and Metal.
Lessons focus on developing technique, understanding theory, honing performance skills and learning contemporary songs learning how to read rhythm notation
Introduction to Cajon technique includes learning rhythmic patterns while maintaining correct posture while playing.
(5 string and 4 string) /Mandolin /Fiddle/Tin Whistle/Bodhran:
Students learn Irish Traditional tunes and sets by listening to Tunes, identifying time signatures and group playing. Performance, timing, rhythm and feel are the focus points of the lessons.
Students are prepared for R.I.A.M exams with a focus on learn scales, sight reading, theory and aural training as well as contrasting exam pieces
Flute/ Saxophone/ Clarinet Lessons:
Students are prepared for R.I.A.M exams with a focus on technique learn scales, sight reading, theory and aural training as well as contrasting exam pieces
Students have the options of learning Classical, Jazz, Blues or Popular Piano as well as developing and strengthening their technique, learning aural skills and sight reading.
Students learn a variety of chords, scales and modes used in keyboard playing as well as a variety of contemporary songs and improvisation techniques.
The Rgt Ukulele syllabus forms the basis of our Ukulele tuition and is interspersed with songs chosen by students.
Vocal lessons are offered in both Classical and Contemporary styles.
Students work on correct breathing technique, posture, diction, resonance and performance techniques.
Students have the option of preparing for the RIAM Classical/ Music Theatre Exams or Rockschool Vocal Exams.
Music Theory (jazz/classical /traditional)
Classical Theory Riam Music Workout books are used to prepare students for Riam Theory exams and as a complementary aspect of instrumental lessons.
Traditional and Jazz theory are taught through practical application in lessons.
We offer both Junior and Leaving Certificate exam preparation for both the written and practical exams.
Many students choose to take music as an external subject which we can facilitate.
We run 1 hour private classes per week which combine the theory and practical components of the music syllabus.
Group classes are also available for students who wish to revise and prepare for the exam in more traditional classroom setting.

We customise our workshops to each school’s specific needs and in accordance with the music curriculum set out by the Department of Education and Skills.
